A few quick tips:

 

  1. Park your car in your driveway instead of on the street. Your car is roughly 5 ft wide and 10 ft long. You will have 50 sq ft less of snow to clear from your driveway. As well as the snowplows can get by your home much safer and quicker. I would rather clear 3 ft behind my car rather than the 15 ft of the whole drive way!
  2. Keeping your car in the driveway will allow Mail, Fire & Rescue personnel through.
  3. If you must park on the street, stager your parking. Parking directly across from another car may make it impossible to pass through.
  4. Clear your sidewalks! Help the kids to the bus stop without having to walk in the street!
